Defender Diaries: Off the Beaten Track
Our Land Rover Defender is more than just a vehicle—it’s a ticket to freedom, adventure, and the wildest places Australia has to offer. With a converted roof camper, a fully decked-out kitchen, and a shower, we’re setting ourselves up to go off-grid and off the beaten track, exploring rugged coastlines, remote beaches, and untouched wilderness.
Maverick, of course, is living his best life—he’s always up for an adventure, whether it’s sleeping up top with us (hogging the bed, naturally), peering out the windows to see what’s happening, or running wild on a new beach.
Right now, we’re fine-tuning the setup—because every trip teaches you something new. What works? What doesn’t? How can we make life on the road even more functional, comfortable, and effortless?
But the best part? That feeling when you start the engine. Instant adventure mode.
🚙 Currently exploring Western Australia—raw, rugged, and breathtakingly beautiful. Next step? A boat—because the reefs, the deep blue, and the offshore wonders are calling. 🌊✨

The roads are long and straight, with nothing in between as far as the eye can see.

In his element.

Coral Bay, its beauty has no words.

Horrocks, typical of Western Australian coastline reefs hugging the shore; this is what makes this coastline so special.

Summer is renowned for the wind blowing from the south and wasing sea grass and weed piling up on the shore of jaggered limestone.

I love the symmetry and colours of the shells.

The shores constantly change from the wind, creating creeping dunes.

The wildflowers colours make a stunning contrast to the desert terrain.
